22 Aug How to play your part in creating an eco-friendly environment
No matter who you are or how rich or poor you are, you can play an important role in creating an eco-friendly environment. Most people care for the earth and the conservation of its precious resources but simply do not know how to go about being more eco-friendly. The good news is that with only a few small lifestyle changes, you can make a big difference in the protection of our environment and making our planet a better place for ourselves and for future generations. The first step in being a more eco-friendly person is to try and conserve water which is becoming a scarce resource. Think about ways in which you can save water while showering, washing your car, watering your garden and more.
Deciding to drive less and reduce harmful carbon emissions is also a good idea. By walking more and driving less, you are reducing your carbon footprint as well as taking care of your health. Many people buy only recycled or reused products. In doing so, they are decreasing the amount of trash that ends up in landfills and our oceans. A great way to buy eco-friendly products is to only buy plastic when you have to and to buy products made out of biodegradable materials such as bamboo toothbrushes.
Consider joining an environmental community group to clean up your community’s resources (rivers, lakes, etc) and to plant more trees to improve the air quality and to reduce the greenhouse effect. Once you have decided to become a more environmentally friendly person, you would be surprised at the positive change you can have on your environment. Although they may seem like small things, every time you decide to conserve water, buy eco-friendly products (like a bamboo toothbrush), recycle and save fuel, you are having a positive impact.
